He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Jessie Sharpe Gambrell; and his siblings, Johnny, Dennis, Pat and Fay.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Gambrell; his children, Ricky Gambrell (Sonya), Tony Gambrell and Debra Vaughn; his sister Ellen Irby (Pete); his grandchildren, Amanda Snelgrove (Aaron), Carey Gambrell, Shaina Edmonds (Blake), Merisa McElrath (Jesse) and Ricky Gambrell; and his great grandchildren, Allie Gambrell, Ashton, Landon, Colton, Raelan Snelgrove, Kinsley, Maddison McElrath and Grayden Edmonds.
