It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Clark Owens of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on September 14, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Guy Clark, Sr. and Ruby Higginbotham Johnson; and her siblings, Jim, Denny Clark and Gloria Smith.
She is survived by: her husband James L. "Jim" Owens; her children, Tonya Sanders Burdette (Chris) of Pendleton, Denise Sanders Surls of Anderson and Scott Sanders (Lori) of Pendleton; her stepchildren, Brian Owens (Carla) of Etowah, NC and Shannon Arnold (John) of Pisgah Forest, NC; her grandchildren, Drew Sanders (Hannah), Eli Sanders, Dalton Surls, B. J. Owens, Colton Owens, Cody Owens and Brittni Burrell; and her brother Bobby Clark. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Social distancing will be observed, and masks are recommended.
