It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Gambrell (Anderson, South Carolina), born in Honea Path, South Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Alverson Gambrell; and his parents, Marshall R. Gambrell and Addie Ethel Merritt Gambrell. He is survived by: his daughter Carol Riley (Danny); and his grandchildren, Shelly Harlan (Benji) of Piedmont, Jimmy Raxter of Piedmont, Patty Gosnell (Donnie) of Greenville and Sherry Butler (Scott) of Taylors. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and seventeen great-great-grandchildren.
