He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Gilliard and Maggie Gilliard; his wife Dessie Mae Gilliard (Donald); his grandson Anthony Gilliard; his great grandchildren, Cormuyus and Quindarrious Dennis; and his son Jimmie Gilliard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Earline O Gilliard and Jeanette G Whitfield; and his grandchildren, Darnell Gilliard (Donna), Keysha Gilliard (Reggie), Corey Dennis, Leon Richardson, Tawonna Gilliard, Jerry and Terrance Whitfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
