He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Sonefelt and Evie Taylor Sonefelt; and his wife Betty Ruth Wilson Sonefelt. He is survived by: his daughter Kelley Sonefelt Haynie; his brother Ray Sonefelt (Susan); his granddaughter Katelyn Scott (Kurtis); his great grandchildren, Iris Grace Scott and River James Daniel Scott; and his sister-in-law Jean Sonefelt.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel (3219 S Main St, Anderson, SC 29624). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mj Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery (140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621).
