It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Blakely (Anderson, South Carolina), born in Burnsville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Blakely; and her parents, Mack Ray Higgins and Bergy Lou Austin Higgins. She is survived by: her son Charles "Chris" Blakely (Amanda); her stepson Tony Blakely; her siblings, Ray Higgins, Nancy Ayers and Elizabeth McIntosh; her grandson Bryce Blakely; her stepgrandchildren, Kayla Perkins and Trey Perkins; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Fisher (Jim), Velma Thompson and Gus Blakely.
