She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mattison, Sr. and Ruth; and her siblings, Robert, Jr. (Mattison), James Mattison, Curtis Mattison, Timothy Mattison and Dorothy Mattison of Greensboro, NC..
She is survived by: her children, Edna Hood of Anderson, SC, Evelyn Brown (Sammy) of Duluth and Waymon A. Hood (Lenora); her stepson Booker Thompson (Etrulia) of Chicago; and her sisters, Betty Walston of Greensboro, NC., Rosezella Gillard and Verlena Ditty of Anderson, SC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen greatgrandchildren.
