He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mason and Dorcas Constance Ginn Evans; his daughter Dianne Burgess; and his siblings, Louise Bryan and Lawrence B. "Lucky" Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille S. Evans; his daughter Dene McCain (Mark) of Beaufort; his grandson Jared L. Burgess; his son-in-law Rickey Burgess (Kim); and his siblings, Sharlene Burnette (Bobby) of Anderson, Sarelle McKinley of Anderson and Johnny L. Evans (Pat) of Chesapeake, VA..
