He is survived by: his wife Peggy McCaskey Sowell; his children, Steven Sowell, Scotty Sowell (Teresa), Neil Sowell (Lisa), Cynthia S. Johnson and Lisa Sowell; his stepsons, Ralph Gill and Ken Gill; and his sisters, Doris Burbage and Bobbie Williams.
