He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Thames Reeves; his parents, Thomas Jefferson "TJ" Reeves and Margaret Ann Barnes Reeves; his sister Betty Reeves Hope; his brother-in-law Johnny Hope; his sister Ann Reeves Lyons; and his brother-in-law Glenn Lyons.

He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Reeves Walker (Steve), Kim Reeves (Bill Terry) and Thomas Jefferson "Ty" Reeves III; his sister Kay Reeves Thames (Jimmy); his grandchildren, April Walker, Tyler Walker, Brian Walker, Kaitlynn Elizabeth Mack (Devon) and Aaron Henry Cook (Alexis Clifton); his great grandchildren, Hunter Alan Mika and Autumn Grace Cook; and his caregiver Tina Dobson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
