She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Kennedy Sykes; and her parents, Benjamin Blanchard and Alma Googe Best. She is survived by: her daughters, Constance Sykes (Coni) and Karen Sykes; her grandchildren, Lois Denise Gibson, Ashleigh Gibson Ringus (Adrian), Lindsay Paul (Tommy) and Justin Kennedy Sellers; her great grandchildren, Tyler Cato, Tanner Cato, Kinsleigh Ringus, Kylie Nicholls and Brantley Nicholls; and her sister Adelaide Best Josselson.
