We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2023, at the age of 90, Ellen Black Deer (Allendale, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Ellison Deer, Sr.; her parents, James Fennell and Ella Mae Brant Black; and her siblings, Wiley S. Black, Ronald S. Black, Gordon O. Black, Jr., Doris Mae Brabham, Charles Bowen Black and James Black.
She is survived by: her sons, James E. Deer, Jr. (Cindy) and Dean L. Deer (JoAnne); her grandchildren, Trey Deer (Alice), Rachel D. Hair (Davis), Hollie D. Collins (Clint) and Casey D. Deichman (Mark); her great grandchildren, Astrid, Iris, Hendrix, Chase, Colton and Kinsley Collins; and her grandchildren, Blair and Corrie Brynn Deichman.
