He was predeceased by: his parents, Napoleon C. Burke, Sr. and Virginia Walker Burke; his siblings, Norman Leroy Burke and Margaret B. Vassar; and his brother-in-law Rev. Isaac Vassar.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Bryant Burke; his children, Johnny Burke (Sharon) of Alcolu, Frances Burke Lester (Ray) of Pinewood, Gloria Coleman (Glenn) of Sumter, Charles Burke of Sumter and Donald Burke (Katie) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Bobby Burke (Jennifer), Lori Welch (Billy), Patrick Lester (Crystal), Burke Lester (Nicole), Daphne Powell (Aaron), Joshua Coleman (Cristin), Gena Baker (Will), Blakely Lovelace (Alan), Brandon Burke (Mandy), Bradley Burke, Sarah-Katherine Burke (Jake Reaves) and Jackson Burke; and his friends, Ray, Frances Lester and Fulton Street. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
