He is survived by: his wife Cheryl "Cheri" D. Gilmore; his daughters, Kimberly G. Smith (Ryan), Karen Nicole "Nikki" Tripp (Kerry) of Ruffin, SC and Lindsey G Schofield (Adam) of Summerville, SC; his stepchildren, Amanda F Whittle (James) of Aiken, SC, Chris D McGee (Keri) of Aiken, SC and Brandi M Polatty (Chad) of Jefferson, GA; his grandchildren, Dalton, Garrett Hughes of Goldsboro, NC, Kennedy Burton of Mocksville, NC, Berkeley Tripp of Ruffin, SC and Sawyer Smith of Clayton, NC; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan J. Whittle (Luana), Aaron J Whittle (Bruna), Noah, Jonah Polatty of Jefferson, GA and Sarah F; his mother-in-law Vera B Dukes of Aiken; and his nephew Joshua Taylor of Walterboro, SC..
