He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Baird and Myrtle Lee Widener Baird; and also Ouilda Marie Madewell Baird. He is survived by: his daughters, Lorelei Clark and Helena Baird. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister, and four grandchildren.
