It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Johnson Padgett of Aiken, South Carolina, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on July 26, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her friend Debbie Harrell; her parents, Charlie Johnson and Beulah Johnson; and her friends, Betty Waters and Edna Deweese.
She is survived by: her children, Allyson McCarthy (April), Cindy Johnston (Russ), Susan Dunbar (Rick) and Mike McCarthy (Debbie); and her friends, Elsie Smith and Claire Creech. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Due to an increase in Covid-19 cases and out of respect for everyone, the Family requests that masks be worn, and everyone practices social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of McCormick County.
