She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Johnson and Dolly Summer Johnson; her husband David Choate; and her brothers, Jerry Lott and Timmy Johnson.
She is survived by: her close friend Charles Young; her sons, Taniel Barton (Tonya), Evans and Kenny Barton (Jamie Paul); her siblings, Lindy Lott, Lucky Johnson (Barbara), Nancy McClure (Hack), Mitzi Nichols and Mary Annie Weinbeck (Fred); and her grandchildren, Devon Wilson, Anslee Barton, Laydon Barton and Lawton Holbrooks.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the SPCA Albrecht Center 199 Willow Run Aiken, SC 29801 or Equine Rescue of Aiken 532 Glenwood Dr. Aiken, SC 29803.
