He was predeceased by: his wife Erlene Hoffman Derrick; his parents, Page Derrick and Katie Chapman Derrick; his stepson William "Rodney" Judy; and his siblings, Herman of John, P. K., Jo Frieda Hooker, Margaret Bauknight, Aldaray McAndrews, Olive Chapman, Runette Still, Elizabeth Shealy and Mary Hipp.
He is survived by: his grandson David Judy (Terrie); his great grandchild Daniel Hartley (Lynn) of Oak Ridge, TN; his great great grandchildren, Haddie, Jed and Silas; and his sisters, Miriam Monts, Connie Bickley and Wanda Allen (Clint). He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry Street, Aiken, SC 20801 or to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1738 Old 96 Indian Trail, Batesburg, SC 29006 for Senior Excursions.
