He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Furman and Jessie Louise Ashley Young. He is survived by: his wife Delly O. Young; his sons, Tom (Heather) of Aiken and Bryan (Casey) of Aiken; his grandchildren, Hailey, Ashley, Granger and Knox; his sisters, Margaret Gowan (Joe) of Ware Shoals, S. C. and Sandra Franks (Bob) of Pulaski, Tennessee; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Ouzts of Fayetteville, GA and Kathy Bonjour (Rich) of Weddington, N. C.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
