He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Carpenter; his children, Stuart Carpenter (Patricia) and Kimberly Huckabee (Joey); his siblings, Tommy Carpenter (Charmaigne) and Frances Lockhart (Carl); his brother-in-law Patrick Sebenoler; his granddaughters, Shelby Wise (Eric), Haley Swearingen (Josh), Allie Beard and Mallory Lambert (Jordan); and his great grandchild Riggs Swearingen.
