He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Grubbs and Juanita Grubbs; and his brother Curtis Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann H. Grubbs; his daughters, Tonya Nunnally (Marcus) of Gastonia, NC and Sonya Kale of Duncan, SC; his sisters, Teresa Esparza (Juan) and Ann Ameta Cook (Robert) of Barnwell; and his brother-in-law George Handberry, Jr. (Mia) of Martin, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
