She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob Williams Bowers; her parents, Alvin Hipp and Lucille Humphies Hipp; her adoptive mother Betsy Hunter Hipp; her stepmother Ruth Hipp; her brothers, Ray Hipp, Emory Hipp (Shirley) and George Hipp; and her brother-in-law Bobbie Bowers.

She is survived by: her daughters, Tammie Bates (Donnie), Lisa Scott (Cameron), Sherlyn Chapman (Noel) and Billie Lane McCavitt (Joe); her sisters, Mable Amick (Harold) and Freida Irish (Herb); her grandchildren, Ashlee Young (Nicholas), Bethany Raines (Joshua), Jacob Bishop Scott (Melanie), Heath Bates (Hope), Heather Ramsey (Jacob), Trey Sloan (Shelby), Hunter Scott (Samantha), Kessler Scott (Caitlin), Bradley Chapman (Kristen), Emily Stacy (Landon), Katie McCavitt and Allie Porter (Greg); her sisters-in-law, Janice Hipp, Cheri Bowers and Minnie Hipp; and her pet Dabo. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
