He is survived by: his children, Mickey Lynde (Kathy) of Panora, Iowa and Teresa "Jo" McMurtrie (Ted) of Aiken; his son-in-law Leo Laughlin of Pella, Iowa; and his siblings, Donald Lynde of Rapid City and Virginia Pennell of Hill City. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
