He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara Kay Shaler; his parents, Joseph Shaler and Madeline Harvey Shaler; and his sons, Joseph Shaler and Patrick Shaler.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Shaler; his grandchildren, Sam Shaler, Katie McCurry, Nicholas Shaler, Zakree Shaler and Eric Rancke; his great grandchildren, Addalyn, Lucas Shaler, Samuel, Logan Rancke, Kash, Atlas Shaler and Matti McCurry; his brother Harvey "Butch" Shaler of Texas; his daughters-in-law, Mary Shaler of Indianapolis, IN and Jill Shaler of Palm Coast, FL.; and his wife Columbarium.
