He was predeceased by: his wife May Jean Averett Norton; his parents, Jesse Lee Norton and Ruby Louise James Norton; and his siblings, Tommy, Larry, James Norton and Lora Dell Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Faith Marie Norton Morris of Harlem, GA; his sister Betty Taylor of Wrens, GA; his stepchildren, Bill Prescott (Robin) of Hephzibah, GA, Debra Barfield, Brenda Ard and Shirley Yassney (Eddie) of Grovetown, GA; his stepgranddaughter Shelly Riley of Trenton, SC; and his niece Ann Marie Norton Worley of Augusta, GA..
