He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Trowell and Beulah Johnson Trowell; and his siblings, Willie Trowell, Jr., Elder Leon Trowell, James Trowell, Lonnie Trowell and Elloree Trowell.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Oakman Trowell; his daughters, Ora Beulah Trowell, Nathann Marie Trowell and Zowie Tianesia Trowell; his siblings, Ben Trowell (Cora), Charles Trowell (Shirley), Albert Trowell (Carolyn) and Barbara Thomas; and his grandchildren, Xena Alexandra Trowell, Kayla Trowell, Demarcus Mitchell, Joshua Redmond, Katherine Redmond, Zyquan Trowell and Zariah Trowell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
