As we bid Marion Hanson farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Marion Hanson is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband W. David Williams; and her son Joseph Hanson Williams. She is survived by: her daughters, Krista Williams Lamar of Aiken and Susan (Clark Avant) of Sandersville, Georgia; her daughter-in-law Julie Cassidy Williams of Jacksonville, Florida; and her friend Talmadge Terrace. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
In the spirit of a favorite verse to "love one another", and in lieu of flowers, her family requests kind acts for which she was known: take flowers to a friend; visit shut-ins at home or in the hospital; call an old colleague; bring together a group of friends.
