He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carter Cruz; his mother Esperanza Deanda Cruz; his mother-in-law Cora Jordan Carter; his children, Joshua Cruz, Andrea Steele (David), Alexandra Schrader (Chris) and Christie Cruz; his grandchildren, William Wickes, Delilah Cruz, Quinn Steele, Paislee Schrader and Everett Schrader; his siblings, Norma Jean Acosta, Cynthia Ann Cruz Cavazos, Debra Cruz Alvarez and Eddie Cruz; and his uncle Pedro Cruz.
