It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Patrick Walsh of Aiken, South Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walsh Sr. and Elizabeth Walsh; his son Stephen Walsh; his former wife Veronica C. Walsh; and his wife Marilou Meditz Walsh.
He is survived by: his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Josephine Walsh; his daughter Kristen; his son-in-law Nick Santoro; his sister Grace Marine; and his brother-in-law Tom of Aiken. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center (211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church (125 Park Ave SE, Aiken, SC 29801).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the VFW or Disabled American Veterans, honoring his love of country and enduring advocacy for fellow service members who safeguarded a legacy of freedom and bravery.
