He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Doolittle and Ida Axie Rodgers Doolittle; his siblings, Lanny, Floyd, Donny, Betty, Shirley and Sonya; and his great grandchild Elijah Doolittle.

He is survived by: his wife Marcia Seaton Doolittle of Aiken, SC; his children, Richard L. Doolittle of Wrens, GA, Katherine A. Doolittle of Tarpon Springs, Larry Clark Doolittle (Tina) of Washington and Renee Ann Broccoli of Tarpon Springs, Florida; his brothers, Rudolph Doolittle of Aiken, SC, Michael Doolittle of Augusta, GA and Gerald Doolittle of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Jason, Vanessa, David, Matthew, Amanda, Michael, Jacob, Caleb, Nathan, Chad, Dominique and Preston. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
