He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frederick Marshall Herron and Nancy Elizabeth Higginbottom Herron; and his children, Heber Truman Herron Jr. and Mary Alice Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Herron (William Scott); his grandchildren, Dannon Reese (Brettany), Brandon Reese (Sarah), Rebecca Meeds (Nathaniel), Julia Smith, James and Marc Kniphfer Jr. of Augusta, GA; his great grandchildren, Braylee, Brayden, Blayne Reese, Connor, Kennedy Meeds, Adalyne and Jonah Britt of Aiken; his sisters, Barbara Britt, Lottie Snipes and Mary Ann Lynes (Jack) of Aiken; and the mother of his children Isabelle Owens-Messer of Aiken.
