She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest D. Brown and Alberta Coleman Brown; and her brother Ernest D. Brown, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband James Elijah Owens, Sr.; her sons, James Elijah Owens, Jr. of Alexandria, VA and Jonathan Owens of Newington, CT; her sisters, Alberta Buller (Dave) of Kea'au, HI and Beverly Healey of Kea'au, HI; her stepbrothers, Robert Dixon and Benjamin Dixon (Carolyn) of Columbia, SC; her sisters-in-law, Carrie Owens of West Hartford, CT, Leila Sweet of Bloomfield, CT, Yvonne Smith of East Hartford, CT and Susan Revotskie of Williamstown, MA; and her grandchildren, Justin Owens and Arianna Owens. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
