He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard and Mildred Elise Harley Redd; and his great grandchild Lindy Elise McAlister. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Lybrand Redd; his children, David Redd, Sr. (Teresa) and Darya McMurtrie (Cory) of Aiken; his grandchildren, Tosha McAlister (Gary), David Redd, Jr. (Sydney), Will McMurtrie (Cassie), Justin McMurtrie (Randi), James Redd (Christina) and Emma McMurtrie; and his great grandchildren, Hayden McAlister, Cameron McAlister, Cooper McMurtrie, Kiah Redd, Zion Redd and Evelyn Redd.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home (715 E Pine Log Rd, Aiken, SC 29803). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calendar Redds Branch Baptist Church (390 Redds Branch Rd, Aiken, SC 29801).
