It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Louise Rodgers Jones of Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on May 29, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilery Harvey and Maggie Eleanor Rodgers; her husband Clyde Havird Jones, Sr.; her siblings, Hilery Silas Rodgers and Ketura "Kay" Rodgers Sharpe; her grandson Gary William Phillips, Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Jerold "Jerry" Fallaw, Carson LaVaun Fox, Sr., Pallbearers, Dr. David J. Fallaw, Austin Fox, Franklin Jones, Parker Jones, Dr. Robert Shakar, Preston Shakar, Price Shakar, William Shakar, Dr. Paul Fleming, Tracy Gunter, III, Taylor Crawford, Rodger Sharpe, David Rodgers, Broadus Rodgers and Randy McAlister.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Kay Jones Fallaw of Aiken, Maggie Eleanor Jones Fox of Aiken, Carolyn Louise Jones of Batesburg-Leesville, Dorothy Lois Jones Phillips (Gary) of Batesburg-Leesville and Clyde "Sonny" Havird Jones, Jr. (Brenda) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Dr. David Jerold Fallaw, Sr. (Robyn), Maggie Eleanor Fox Shakar (Robert), Carson LaVaun Fox, Jr., Austin Havird Fox (Elizabeth), Susan Louise Fox (Paul), Dr. Gariane Phillips Gunter (Tracy), Hilery Grace Phillips, Franklin Havird Jones, Parker Waring Jones and Meriwether J. Jones Crawford (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Caroline Kay and David Jerold Fallaw, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Preston Clyde, Price Robert, Caroline Sullivan, William Lewis Shakar, Ashtyn Devin, Suttyn Brooklyn, Miller Austin Fox, Isabella Grace and Tracy Capers Gunter, IV.
