We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2023, at the age of 94, Elizabeth Carter Rainsford Coon of Aiken, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John David Carter, Sr. and Estelle Tison Carter; her former spouse Thomas Hobbs Rainsford; her husband Don James Coon, Jr.; and her siblings, John David Carter, Jr., Nelle Carter DeLoach, Rebecca Carter Wight and Benjamin Sweat Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Carter Rainsford Costigan (Michael), Thomas Hobbs Rainsford, Jr., James Carroll Rainsford and Estelle Rainsford (Sean Clinchy); and her stepchildren, Don Coon, John Coon and Cheri Coon Furno. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, and many devoted nieces and nephews.
