She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Scarboro, Sr.; her parents, Louis Hightower of Washington and Lula Mae Hightower; and her siblings, Louis Jr. of Washington, John of Washington, James of Washington, Ella Mae Spann, Emma Jackson and Ernestine Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, James E. Scarboro, Jr. (Shirlene), Windsor, Michael Scarboro (Crystal), Randy Scarboro (Shannon) of Fresno, CA, Nicholas Scarboro of Aiken, SC, Sheila Griffin and Denita Cox (John) of Rocky Mount, NC; her sister Elain Smith; and her grandchildren, Stefon Scarboro, Evelyn Dunbar, Terrence Griffin, Michael Jamil Scarboro and Ethan Scarboro.
