He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maylee Burks Hayes and Algie Robert Hayes; his wife Marilyn Sue Harden Hayes; his sons, Michael Robert of Greenville, SC and Patrick David Hayes (Susan) of Wadmalaw Island, SC; his sister-in-law Rita Kay Harden of Dallas, Texas.; and his brothers, Robert L. Hayes and Benny Dan Hayes.
