He was predeceased by: his parents, José Matos and Palmira Silva Matos. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Abbey Matos; his children, Esther Kruse (Scott) of Colfax, WA and David J. Matos; his grandsons, Daniel Tate (Kaitlin) of Colfax, WA and Adam Tate (Jacquelyn) of Walla Walla, WA; and his siblings, Samuel Matos of East Hartford, CT, Joseph Matos and Palmira Matos (Portugal). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
