He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Nickerson and Eloise Hestly Nickerson; and his sister Barbara Jean Nickerson. He is survived by: his wife Esther Richardson Nickerson; his children, David George Nickerson, Jr. (Andrea Downs) of Athens, GA, Marcus Wade Nickerson (Erin) of Jefferson, GA and Tanya Beyler (Bryce) of Acworth, GA; his sisters, Marguerite Prato and Rosalee Stinson of Blue Ridge, GA; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Beyler and Andrew Beyler.
