He was predeceased by: his parents, John Spivey and Mary "Frances" Williams Spivey; and his siblings, John Spivey, Artis Joye, Maria Waites and Carolyn Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Stanley Spivey (Cherie), Gregory Spivey (Brenda), Cynthia "Cindy" Mayle (Richard) and Karla Mitchell (Roger); and his sisters, Helen Browning of Hephzibah, GA and Debbie Joye of Augusta, GA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Marine Corp League 1003 Spaulding Dr., Aiken, SC 29803.
