She was predeceased by: her spouse Liberato Santiago Vega; her parents, Jose Antonio Rivas and Maria Ortiz Colon; her children, Zulma (Paul) and Jeffrey; and her siblings, Elisa Rivas, Idale Saez, Ishmael Rivas and Hector Rivas (Cholo).
She is survived by: her children, Jose (Sandy), Jim (Kathy), Gerry, Ruth (Bill), Nelly (Jerry), Eddy and Donna; her close friend Steve (Wilda); her siblings, Lucy Melendez, Antonio Rivas (Toñito), Neftali Melendez (Taly), Eva Maria Rivas, Jose Alberto Rivas (Beltito) and Jose Benito Rivas (Pepe); her sisters-in-law, Lourdes, Carmen Socorro, Haydee and Lucia; and also, Gail and Donna. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren.
