With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alexander Tyrtos of Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on March 9, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tyrteos and Helena Carrese Tyrteos. He is survived by: his children, Sophia Tyrteos of Brooklyn, NY, Lucy Tyrteos of Aiken, SC and Alexander John "Sacha" Tyrteos Jr. of Charleston, SC; his former spouse Marie-Louise Tyrteos of Charleston, SC; and also George Tyrteos of Durban.

Memorial in Mr. Tyrteos' memory may be made to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 203 Park Ave SE, Aiken, SC 29801.
