He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert and Ethel Coyle Vassey; and his brother Dean Vassey. He is survived by: his children, Rhonda V. Thomasson (Larry) of Abbeville and Wayne Len Vassey (Richard) of Atlanta; his brother Kenneth Vassey of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Courtney Seavey (Josh), Beth Thomasson and Brooke Thomasson (Grady); his great grandchildren, Kendall, Brady, Brett and Cruze; and his close friend Dorothy Jean Fleming. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
