He was predeceased by: his parents, John George Hughes, Sr. and Doris Kirby Hughes. He is survived by: his siblings, Tena Prince of Abbeville, Doris Hammond of Anderson, SC, John G. Hughes, Jr. of California and Fred K. Hughes of Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
