She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph E. 'Joe Seawright, Jr.; her parents, John David and Daisy S. Bates; her siblings, Earl, Burt, Edwin, Murray Bates, Vira B. Till, Camilla B. Schriner and Miriam Lauria; her niece Dr. Pam Wallner (Steve); and her nephew David Chinners.
She is survived by: her nieces, Marisa Lauria of Sebring, FL, Beth Wood (Nelson) of Camden, SC and Sarah Bradberry of Greer; and her nephew Dr. John Till (Susan) of Neeses, SC. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
