He was predeceased by: his parents, James Briggs and Jeanette Briggs (Poehler). He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Heath Briggs; his daughters, Wendi Carson (Chris) of Newnan, GA and Stephanie Campbell (Manns) of Senoia, GA; his siblings, Fred Briggs (Marcia) of Fort Wayne, IN and Mary Winegarner (Bill) of Columbus, OH; and his grandchildren, Patrick Carson, Andrew Carson, Emily Campbell and Brooke Campbell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
