He was predeceased by: his parents, Macy Campbell McNeill and Lowry Wilson McNeill of Abbeville, SC.; and his siblings, William F. McNeill and Barbara McNeill Shockley. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Evans McNeill; his daughter Lynn McNeill Houston (Don) of Abbeville, SC; his grandchildren, Howie Houston (Megan) of Greenville, SC and Beth Ellen Houston White (Stephen) of Abbeville, SC; and his great grandchild Lucy White.
