He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Christine Fields; his parents, Bryant Fields and Bertha Brock Fields; his son Ralph Fields, Jr.; and his sisters, Katherine Knox and Grace Campbell.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Powell of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Michele Jackson (Bobby) and Chad Powell (Stacia); his great grandchildren, Nikki Crisp (Jordyn), Nathan Jackson and Chloe Powell; and his sister Dot King of Belton.
