She was predeceased by: her parents, Toshio Shibata and Miya Yokota Shibata; her daughter Sylvia Garnto; and her sisters, Kimie Shibata and Metsuyo Shiratori.
She is survived by: her children, Vivian Warren (Ernest) of Starr, SC and Ray Thomas (Teresa) of Iva, SC. She is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
