It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Catherine Newell of Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 23, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Waymon Newell; and her parents, Jim Putnam and Lillian Armstrong Putnam of Hodges. She is survived by: her pet Chrissy; her children, Michael Newell of Greenwood, SC and Janet Newell Davis (Julian) of West Union, SC; her grandchildren, Catherine Davis Stokes (Cliff) of McDonough, GA and Julian Davis, III (Stephanie) of Westminster, SC; and her great grandchildren, Kaylynn, Rachel, Dylan and Layla.
